Ergonomics for Carpenters

Course Number: SA103
Course Description: Every working day, carpenters twist, bend reach, lift, kneel, push, pull and stretch to make their bodies fit their work. We know that trying to fit the body to the work instead of changing the work to fit the body has serious costs. This course focuses on injuries to the back, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands and knees that affect carpenters, and how we can begin to prevent these injuries.

Course Length: 4 hours.
Participants successfully completing the course will receive a certificate from the UBC Health and Safety Department.
