Apprentices who wish to continue their education after they have successfully completed the carpenters training program are eligible for up to 25 college credits towards an A.A.S. (Associate in Applied Science) degree in Technical Studies at any one of the county community colleges in New Jersey. Through a unique blend of course work, specialized training and hands on work experience your apprenticeship training can help earn you a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Management or any one of the many Technical Studies offered by New Jersey's community colleges.
The opportunity to earn college credit based on the completion of the Carpenters certified apprenticeship training program is provided in cooperation with NJ PLACE and the United States Department of Labor.
