Course Description: This course will teach layout and fitting of vinyl floor tile. Straight and diagonal layouts along with custom work will be discussed. Fitting around irregular objects will be taught.

Vinyl Seam Cutting
Course Number: FC104
Course Description: This course includes all recommended methods of cutting seams for both roto and inlaid sheet vinyl. Methods presented will include double cutting recess scribing, straight edge and butt.
Prerequisite: Minimum two years floor covering experience.
Course Length: 16 hours.
Vinyl Heat Welding
Course Number: FC103
Course Description: This course will teach welding of commercial sheet goods. Flat welding along with cove work will be taught.
Prerequisite: Seam Cutting FC104.
Course Length: 16 hours.
Vinyl Flash Coving
Course Number: FC200
Part 1 Pattern Scribing
Course Description: This course will teach the direct scribe and pattern scribing methods of fitting sheet vinyl and linoleum. Pattern scribing teaches pre-fitting the material by use of a template before gluing in place. This course must be successfully completed in order to register.
