Are you looking to improve your carpentry skills and increase your wages and benefits?

Learn About Starting a Career as a Highly Skilled Union Carpenter.
Union carpenter apprentices are required to complete five years of combined on-the-job and school training. In return, they’ll be rewarded with the skills and proficiency they’ll need to be the safest, professional carpenters in the construction industry.

In addition to all areas of the carpentry trade, our training program includes:

• Scaffolding
• Aerial Lifting
• Blueprint Reading
• Welding
• Rigging
• Material Handling
 • Layout with Level and Transit
• Industry-Relevant Math
• Algebra
• Work Site Safety
• OSHA
• Ergonomics

Each apprentice must be proficient in all phases of the carpentry trade before advancing to journeyman carpenter status.

We not only train our apprentices, we also offer upgrading classes to journeyman. Any of our members who wish to improve their basic skills or update their proficiency can do so by registering for any of the skill-enhancement classes we offer.

By training our apprentices and journeyman in all of the latest construction technologies and applications we are able to provide our employers with the finest most competitive carpenters in the trade.
